The Security Manager demonstrates excellent customer service performance in that his/her attitude and actions are at all times consistent with the standards contained in the Vision, Mission and Values of Covenant HealthCare and the commitment to Extraordinary Care for Every Generation.
This individual is responsible for creating and maintaining professional security services for Covenant HealthCare. The security program managed by this person includes negotiating, supervising and coordinating key vendor activities with Covenant Security and Covenant as an organization. The Security Manager will ensure that all issues pertaining to facility loss, damage, or violations of policies and procedures regarding security are investigated.

Maintains department budget by efficiently managing the use of time, equipment, and supplies.
Coordinates established safety and security programs adherent to HFAP Environment of Care Standards.
Responsible for training and supervision of department staff.
Investigates critical incidents to determine opportunities to improve the safety and security of the facilities using good communication and observation skills to minimize liability.
Reports statistical data relevant to the security plan to the Hospital Safety Committee.
Reviews and approves payroll to ensure accuracy
Creates schedules to provide adequate staffing on all shifts and within budget
Coordinates department strategies with key vendors including Saginaw City Police
Supervises key department vendors
Complete annual certification training in Safe Drive, OC/Pepper Spray, Violent Patient Management, Defensive Tactics and Crisis Prevention Intervention.
Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement or other applicable fields or willingness to complete within two years
Valid Michigan Driver's and driving record that allows Covenant HealthCare's auto insurance carrier to provide insurance coverage
CPR Certification encouraged
Minumum of 3management experience preferred
Security officer or Law enforcement experience preferred
Community relations and service experience preferred
